What is PBX?

PBX is used for providing the telephony service within an organization or office. PBX are business phone systems that provides different features like voice mail, call forwarding, call waiting, call transfer,  call conferencing, call history, call recording etc. PBX is mainly a digital device that use 64k fixed circuits call T1 or E1 from PSTN and you can run thousand of phone within your organization with PBX.  Some advantage of PBX is as follow:

  • Local calls between PBXs (Private Branch Exchange) are free.
  • Cast saving solution due to intermittent usage of PSTN trunks.
  • With PBX you can configure as many phone extensions as you wish and can put different restrictions and rules on different phones
